NXTGEN are delighted to be supporting a leading firm of Accountants based in Norwich in their search for a Bookkeeper. As a Bookkeeper you will work as part of the outsourcing team to support a range of SME's, sole traders and partnerships with their accounting tasks. The firm pride themselves on their service delivery and in this client facing role, you will have the opportunity to deal directly with client queries, upholding high levels of customer service at all times. This is a broad and all encompassing Bookkeeping role which will cover all aspects of VAT including preparation and submission, as well as the production of management accounts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reconcile client bank statements
- Support with management account preparation and journal postings
- Prepare and submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis
- Support various clients with CIS submissions
- Support clients with any cloud accounting queries
The successful candidate will ideally have prior Bookkeeping experience, preferably gained within another accountancy firm but those with an industry background are also encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to demonstrate experience using cloud accounting packages including QuickBooks and Xero as well as a good working knowledge of VAT. This is a client facing role so excellent communication and relationship management skills are also key to succeeding in this role.
