This is a newly created Payroll Assistant role, driven by the firm's continued expansion and growing demand for their payroll services. You'll be joining one of the most supportive and friendly teams in the local market, within a firm known for its down-to-earth culture and collaborative working environment. This is a client I've had the pleasure of working closely with for a number of years, not only placing their current Payroll Manager but also a number of other highly successful Accountants across the firm, so if this is a role that intrigues you, I'll be able to give a real insight into what this role would entail as well as success stories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Handling payroll queries and providing expert advice on PAYE, pensions, and statutory deductions
- Building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service
- Working closely with the wider team to continuously improve processes and efficiencies
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in payroll processing within an accountancy practice or bureau environment
- Knowledge of payroll software such as Sage Payroll or Xero Payroll
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, keen to develop and grow within the firm
