NXTGEN is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded firm in the market to recruit an Accounts Senior for their Cambridge office, specifically within their Medical Business team. As an Accounts Senior, you'll join a vibrant Medical department, delivering exceptional service to practices of varying sizes. You'll have the autonomy to work directly with clients, assisting them with accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and tax returns, and resolving any issues that may arise. This role also presents a fantastic chance to support Managers and Partners in the growth of the department, helping to onboard new clients and strengthen existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Completing accounts preparation assignments for medium to large medical practices
* Preparing complex tax computations
* Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns
* Resolving complex client queries and offering practical solutions
* Reviewing work completed by Assistants before passing it to the Manager/Partner
* Mentoring junior staff and providing constructive feedback to aid their development
* Managing assignment timeframes that you're working on
What You'll Need:
* ACA or ACCA qualification is essential
* Experience in an accountancy practice, preparing statutory accounts and tax computations, ideally within the medical sector
* Up to date knowledge on accounting legislation
* Client-facing experience
* Good knowledge and experience in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
