Your Role in Driving Success:
- Deliver accurate and insightful monthly management accounts, providing analysis that drives key business decisions.
- Lead forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring financial stability and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Oversee year-end accounts preparation, collaborating with auditors to meet deadlines seamlessly.
- Take responsibility for day-to-day financial operations, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations, staying ahead of any legislative changes.
- Partner with department leads to track financial performance and provide cost-saving recommendations.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy across all accounting processes.
- Monitor project financials, offering proactive solutions to manage costs and maximise profitability.
- Support senior management with detailed financial reports and actionable insights.
What We're Looking For:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or part-qualified with strong progress toward completion).
- Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME environment.
- Confident user of Excel, with the ability to handle data analysis and reporting (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Exposure to accounting software such as Sage is advantageous.
- A problem-solver who's comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
