As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you'll take ownership of client relationships, providing strategic insights and delivering financial expertise. You'll play a key role in developing junior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment, while also contributing to recruitment efforts as the team continues to grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a varied client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact for queries and advisory services.
- Prepare and review financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly management accounts, offering valuable insights for business decisions.
- Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
- Assist senior leadership with workflow planning and process improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working in an accountancy practice, with strong technical accounting skills.
- Confident using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
- Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and build strong professional relationships.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
